Reduce Gender Disparity in STEM in Nepal

Participants of a capacity building training course for female STEM researchers in Koshi Province in Nepal

It’s time to make a change and Dr Babita Paudel is leading the way. As a successful biologist, she knows the importance of diversity in STEM research and is determined to provide opportunities for more female researchers in Nepal. She has launched a network initiative that’s sure to make a difference and inspire women to pursue careers in this field. Dr Paudel’s own journey started with a lecture that opened her eyes and changed her life forever. Now, she wants to do the same for others. Her Center for Natural and Applied Sciences (CENAS) is conducting ground-breaking research into unique microorganisms and plants from Nepal. As a result, this initiative is not only empowering women but also helping to find solutions for global challenges. Let’s celebrate and support this exciting and important initiative.
